NAWBO national conference did you go?

Participating in a national conference such as NAWBO (National Association Women Business Owners - USA) is a fabulous way to network. In one venue meeting business women from all over the United States as well as from countries such as Mexico, Scotland, Australia, Iceland, Germany and even Nicaragua!

Did you manage to meet them all? Want to sent post-networking notes?

We welcome women who participated at NAWBO national conference, to use this post-discussion forum to keep your connections going!

I came into this conference with low expectations and fortunately, they were vastly exceeded. I should have known--being around incredibly powerful, fun, positive, intelligent women for three days--how can life be better?

Hi All,

You're right Mary! "being around incredibly powerful, fun, positive, intelligent women" makes us all see we have the ability to achieve far more than the imagination can deliver.

I've left the conference with excellent business connections and a great feeling knowing I have a tight group of powerful friends around the world!

Wow, I was amazed at the number of women at our seminar on Social Media and my e-mail has been flooded with twitter followers and Facebook and Linked in Invitations. There was not a woman that I met who did not inspire me in some way. I had to leave on Friday but the one male speaker that I heard was outstanding, Peter Walsh. I am working right now to unclutter my work space and my home. Also it was great to meet so many international women. My one regret is that there simply was not enough time to interact with all of the dynamic, energetic and talented women at the conference. Keep in touch.

Also for those of you who attended the Jetnetting Seminar, how many of you left with business? I did. Would love to hear your stories.

As Chair of the International Forum, it was a joy to facilitate the networking and brainstorming sessions. This world is filled with fantastic women entrepreneurs, and I met the best of the best in Chicago! I look forward to continuing my personal and business relationships with all of you phenomenal women.

Kudos to NAWBO's national leadership for a terrific conference ... almost information and networking overload! Highlights for me were Peter Welch's admonition not to let "stuff" dominate our lives, the International Forum connections and dinner al fresco, the breakout sessions -- especially social networking, the great receptions, the roundtables for Chapter issues and the ample opportunities to meet and brainstorm with wonderful entrepreneurs from all over.

Like Joanne, because of Peter's talk, since coming back to Miami I am in heavy "throw out" mode ... office, garage, cabinets, etc., urged on by my eager daughter (who did not get the "keep everything" gene).

As a new member of the President's Assembly Steering Committee, I'm looking forward to serving and being a resource for other chapters. Let us know how we can help and watch for some really useful webinars coming throughout the year.

Additionally, keep the dream alive by attending the 2nd annual Go for the Greens Conference at Disney in Orlando, September 10-`12, hosted by the Southeast Region NAWBO, with lead sponsor UPS. Meet with Procurement and Diversity Officers from major corporations and government entitites for one-on-one appointments, learn about new trends in "green" for business, participate in practical breakouts including international and getting government contracts, and play golf -- even if you've never played before! Reserve now because it's a boutique conference with a cap of 250 attendees.

Hello NAWBO women!

Wonderful to see you here! As a member from the hosting city, I am delighted you came and that you left with a "pearl" or two! I look forward to learning more about and sharing with each of you.

Anne, I am so sorry your Go for the Greens Conference at Disney in Orlando, September 10-`12 are the exact same days as our business conference in Phoenix. However, there will be other opportunities to stay in touch.

Rúna - I play that video over and over again. Very inspiring. Also loved the stories of the women panelists. What "Heart' ...What "Determination"....and amazing "Results"!

Until next time.

Hello Mary,

I just absolutely love Sedona! The Freelife National Conference is in Phoenix at the Convention Center! Let's stay in touch. In the meantime, I am hosting an International Event here in Chicago - most likely in October. More to come...:-)
