Home / News

Iran and Syria are to establish a common bank to help finance women’s business enterprises.

In a meeting on Saturday, a delegation comprising the female staff of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM) and head of the Women's Council of Syria's Chamber of Commerce Sofia Khanji, also agreed on the formation of research teams to look into methods for increasing cooperation between female members of the Iranian and Syrian chambers of commerce.

The two sides will also form a joint council of the female staff of their chambers of commerce; hold annual fairs in Muslim states to market the merchandise produced by their female citizens, and set up collaborative educational workshops to raise women's efficiency and capability.

Iran and Syria also agreed on the establishment of specialized commercial and economic committees to serve as subsidiaries to their chambers' joint women's councils.
