THEME: Women and Asia:Driving the 21st Century Global Economy.
The 2008 Summit focuses on two key shange agents of this century's economy - the women of the world who will impact on each country's global competitiveness as consumers, workers and enterprise builders; and the Asia Pacific region, whose sheer size and rapid growth is already altering the leadership landscape of this century's global market.
 
The Summit will have several speakers cover the opportunities presented by this region, as well as present a special forum on Doing Business with Vietnam, the new Asian Tiger - a forum presided by Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister the day before the Summit begins.  To get to know the women's market in the Asia Pacific region, MasterCard will release its annual report on women at the Summit.

The diverse countries represented by these women's business/professional/ entrepreneurial groups signal the continuing truly global nature of the Summit.  The head of IBM/Taiwan, the Executive Chairperson of Stargate Capital Investments, the CEO of Carnival Australia, and the CEO of Qiagen, a German biotech company are just some of the corporate leaders who will be part of an exciting roster of over 80 presenters.  There will be a special effort to showcase the talented Asia/Pacific and Vietnamese businesswomen, who are major players in reshaping the economies of this region.
