KAWBO Kenya womens conference Naroibi

The KAWBO conference in Nairobi (May 20-22) was one of the best international conferences I have ever attended. Let’s keep networking! I’ll try to start this off by asking if there is a woman business owner in the U.S. you would like to be matched with—let me know and I’ll see what I can do!

OK--let's see if we can get this Forum started in another way. There was a lot of talk about women and leadership at the conference. Martha Mertz gave the keynote on the ATHENA model of enlightened leadership. And one of the Nairobi newspapers had an article the day after the conference that it is time for women to take over the running of Kenya. So--what is needed for more women to get/take leadership roles in Kenya?

I hate that I missed that as my husband is Kenyan. This year the conference fell on my daughter's 18th birthday and my husband's birthday. Maybe next year! Glad to hear it was a wonderful experience Mary.
